We first planted Riesling, Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz in 1980. These were popular at the time and were planted at the request of Brown Brothers whom we were contracted to. Browns later requested Chardonnay and Dolcetto also. When we decided to make our own wines we planted small blocks of Tempranillo, Sangiovese, Nebbiolo, Barbera, Pinot Grigio, and Merlot. We have also recently planted Saperavi which is a Russian red varietal. We will make our first wine from that this season. The grapes are all drip irrigated.View all our wines
Where it all began.
The winery is built from Glenrowan granite rocks in traditional Tuscan style. The wine making techniques follow the Corsini Family traditions, with no preservatives added and no filtration, retaining the full characteristics of each wine.
King Valley is considered to be cool climate viticulture. This creates slow ripening fruit to allow the development of good varietal flavours.
